Meta Cafe

Meta Café is a great site that I just found out about. Think You Tube but they actually pay you. As a matter of fact, they pay you $5 per every 1000 views your video gets. If you've spent any significant time on You Tube or any other video sharing sites, then you already know that 1000 views is easily obtainable. There are some simple guidelines that need be met in order to qualify for payment, but nothing too stringent.

One of the best perks about Meta Café is that they pay you for the non-exclusive rights to your videos, so you can publish a video on their site, and then share that same video on Associated Content, Spymac, You Tube, My Space, or anywhere else you please. The only rules you must abide by to qualify for payment are; your video must be your own original work, it must not be pornographic or contain any other adult material (e.g., excessive profanity, violence, etc.), and it must maintain a rating of 3.0 from the community.

In order to receive your payment you need to reach a minimum payout of $100 which is the equivalent of 20,000 views. However, every video uploaded to Meta Café is subject to a rating system. That rating system will play a big part in how many views your video receives. If a video constantly receives 4 and 5 point ratings, it will quickly move to the homepage of the website and get some solid time there. Once your video is on the home page, you can literally sit back and watch the dollars role in. Meta Café boasts 100,000 unique hits per day, so it's easy to imagine how many times your video will be viewed after one day on the homepage.

Even if your video is a pretty average one that never makes it to the homepage, nothing can stop you from using the embedded code to post that video on your My Space page, post it in bulletins and comments, or even send it to people in emails. Using all of these methods will get you a lot of views fast; especially, if you have a large network of online friends. The top earner on Meta Café has earned $32,907 to date. This week alone they earned $1,300! If they can keep that up, this person will be making more than $50,000 a year just for posting videos online.

If you're an amateur film maker, a film student, a comedian, a musician, or just someone with a lot of clever video ideas, you could be making some serious cash with Meta Cafe.
